Exam Access Arrangements
I am happy to provide reports, including Form 8s for schools and colleges around Norfolk. Staff can change schools or unexpectedly need to take time off. I am happy to provide services on an ad-hoc basis.
General Assessments
You may also like specialist input where a child or young person has, or may have, dyslexia or other difficulty in acquiring literacy. This may also assist in provision mapping for a child or young person to demonstrate whether top-up funding may be required, if the child or young person has an Education, Health and Care plan.
Teaching Assistant Training
This course for teaching assistants is 1.5 days of coverage. It is recommended that it is delivered as:
Day 1: Effective interactions to support pupil independence. Delivered over one day, with gap tasks to be completed before day 2
Day 2: Reviewing gap tasks; delivering effective interventions; collaborative group work. Delivered over a half-dayThe course for teachers is delivered in one half-day session. It is advised that the teacher course is delivered alongside the training for TAs.
Day 1 can be delivered independently of Day 2, and works well as a full day of professional development for groups of TAs. It is also possible to deliver training across a number of weeks. Similarly, the timings of the courses can be extended if desired, allowing more time for reflection and discussion.
